Rachel E. Myers, age 94, died at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Wesleyan Health Care Center, Marion.
Rachel was born on July 17, 1915, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late Clarkson and Emma (Nordquist) Dille. On December 14, 1935, she married John W. Myers who preceded her in death June 1, 2005.
Rachel was a homemaker and a very active member of First Friends Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years and had also directed Vacation Bible School. She was inducted into the Marion Bowling Hall of Fame and enjoyed doing crafts and working crossword puzzles.
Survivors include, sister-in-law, Evelyn Dille of Marion, Indiana; nieces, Donna Linton (Kim) of Marion, Indiana; Onda Swafford (Kenny) of Michigan; and Rachel Ellen; great-nieces, Julie Autry (Michael) of Marion, Indiana and Cindy of Marion, Indiana; and one great-great niece, Hannah Autry of Marion, Indiana.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Don Dille.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Pastors Dane Leitch & Bob Gara officiating.
Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.
