RAYMOND E. LEWIS, age 73, of Marion, died at 6:45 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2008, at home.
RAYMOND was born on February 11, 1935, in Matthews, Indiana, the son of the late William Lewis and Marie (Minch) Lewis. He married Marilyn Welch on March 17, 1956. She preceded him in death on July 16, 2005.
He worked as a machine attendant at RCA (Thompson Consumer Electronics) for 35 years, retiring in 1990. His hobbies were hunting and fishing and he was an all-around outdoorsman. He also enjoyed collecting coins.
Survivors include Daughter, Mona Hamilton (Steve) of Marion, Indiana; Daughter, Ruth Flores (Armando) of Frankfort, Indiana; Sister, Joan Scott (Kenneth) of Gas City, Indiana; 4 grandchildren, Brandy Rogers, Katlyn Bradford, Megan & Billy Hamilton; and 2 great-grandchildren, Payton & Caidyn Rogers.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Jack Minch, James Lewis & William Lewis, Jr.; sisters, Leslie Charlene Lewis, Nancy Moore & Melva Lewis and a great grandson, Devyn Simon.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Chaplain Don Miller officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
