Richard A "Richie" Keen

RICHARD A. "RICHIE" KEEN, age 60, died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Marion General Hospital, Marion.
Richie was born on December 18, 1948, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Carl Keen, Jr. and Kathleen (Sollars) Keen. She survives. He married LouAnn Herniak on July 20, 1968. He was a machinist at Dana Corporation for 20 years. Prior to Dana, he had also worked at Seyferts and Coca-Cola.
He was a standout basketball player at Marion High School where he graduated in 1967. He then attended Indiana Northern University where he also played basketball. He was an avid I.U. & Pacer fan. He loved to take care of his girls and grandchildren. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone, and had no ememies.
Survivors include Daughters, Shana Martz of Somerset, Indiana, Kelly Burns (James) and Brooke Robertson (Josh), both of Marion, Indiana; Mother, Kathleen Keen of Marion, Indiana; Brother, Steve Keen (June) of Marion, Indiana; Sister, Carol Keen of Marion, Indiana; Grandchildren, Blake Martz, Drew Robertson, and Brianna Robertson; and 2 special buddies, Wayne Douglas & George Wagner, both of Marion, Indiana.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Brian Keen.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at Grace Community Church, 1810 E. Bradford Pike, Marion with Reverend Dr. Thomas Mansbarger officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. & 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
