Robert E. Charles, age 90, of Marion, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016 in his home.
Robert was born July 30, 1925 in Andrews, Indiana, the son of the late Homer and Eva (Kirby) Charles. He married Paulette Jeangeorges on December 4, 1944, and she survives. He was an Army veteran serving during WWII. Robert was a farmer and also worked for 25 years at Anaconda and was a truck driver for 20 years for Morgan Drive Away until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Marion, and the American Legion, Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Paulette Charles of Marion, Indiana; a daughter, Dylett Boyer of Warren, Indiana; 4 grandchildren, Andrea Hahn, Tiger Seadler, Nikki Beer and Stephanie Vickrey; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Father Richard Weisenberger officiating.
Friends and family may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the church prior to the Funeral Mass.
Burial will immediately follow the funeral mass in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
