Robert Eugene Kidwell

Robert Eugene Kidwell, age 68, of Marion, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011, at the Marion General Hospital, Marion.

Robert was born on April 4, 1943, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Miller) Kidwell.

Robert was a 1961 graduate of Marion High School, a Navy veteran, and a member of the First Pentecostal Church on Pennsylvania Avenue. He lived in Arizona for 19 years, and came back to Marion in 2006. He married Sandra Rae Williams on May 1, 2006, and she survives.

Robert was an avid bowler at Crest Lanes on the Super Senior Team. He was a truck driver for many years and loved to read.

Survivors include: wife, Sandra Kidwell of Marion; brother, Charles (Phyllis) Kidwell of Tennessee; sister, Dottie (Bo) Howell of Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Nila Kidwell of South Bend, and Debbie Kidwell of Marion; daughter, Natalie Fensome of Marion; sons, Robert Kidwell of Kentucky, Leslie (Polly) Kidwell of Selgman, Missouri, Johnny Kidwell of Bluffton, Scott Kidwell of Bluffton, Terry Kidwell of Missouri, Brian Kidwell of Arizona, and Beau Kidwell of Arizona; daughter, Dixie (Willie) Gates of Michigan; 29 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; special aunt, Barbara Stewart of Marion; special cousin, Tammi Cunningham of Marion; special sister-in-law, Kathy (John) Holloway of Marion; step-children, Beverly (John) Flanigan of Marion, Beth (Bret) Rigsbee of Marion, and Lynette Smith of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Robert Kidwell; a son, Bobby Gene Kidwell; two brothers, Fred and Lester Kidwell; and son-in-law, Christopher Fensome.

Graveside Services & Burial with full military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana with Pastor Darrin Williams and Pastor Clarence Hand, Jr. officiating.

There is no visitation.
