Robert E. Reith, born on August 31, 1923, in Marion, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 27,2024, at Forrest Creek Village in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a cherished presence in the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy marked by dedication, service, and family.
Robert devoted fifty-three years of his career to family business, Reith Studios, where his hard work and leadership contributed significantly to its growth and success. A proud graduate of Marion High School, Class of 1941, he believed in the importance of education and community, which guided his professional and personal endeavors.
His commitment to serving others began in earnest during World War II, where he served as a truck driver with the 9th Air Force. Robert spent one and a half years in Europe, navigating the challenging terrain and contributing to the war effort. His exemplary service and the countless miles he traveled—over 100,000—led to the receipt of five bronze stars, a testament to his bravery and commitment to his country.
Robert is survived by his loving daughters, Leslie Reith of New Jersey and Linden (James) Allman of Indianapolis. They carry forward his spirit and values, honoring the life he built through hard work and love for his family.
Private services in remembrance of Robert E. Reith will be held on August 30, 2024, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
