Robert W. "Bob" Whitehead

Robert W. "Bob" Whitehead, age 83, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Marion General Hospital, Marion, Indiana.
Robert was born May 15, 1931, in Elwood, Indiana, the son of the late Glen and Mae (Holmes) Whitehead. He married Marilyn Maley, and she survives.
Bob was an Air Force Veteran and a self-employed farmer. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a past member of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association). He enjoyed flying airplanes and had rebuilt a full size airplane.
Survivors include: wife, Marilyn Whitehead of Fairmount, Indiana; two sons, Brian (Susan) Whitehead of Fairmount, Indiana, and Jeremy (Angela) Whitehead of Dallas, Georgia; grandchildren, Carly (Aaron) Vogel, Blake Whitehead, Emily Monroe, Alyson (John) Perry, and Kate Uebelhack; and great-granddaughter, Grace Womack.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lorraine Monroe and brother, James Whitehead.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Alan Jones officiating.
Burial will follow funeral services in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, in the funeral home prior to funeral services.
