Ronald Thomas Sexton, age 70, of Marion passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 in his home.
Ronald was born April 29, 1949 in Marion, Indiana the son of the late Ambrose and Evelyn (Benson) Sexton. He worked at Wal-Mart as a butcher until his retirement, holding several jobs throughout his career.
Ron’s true passion was being involved in the Sons of the American Legion and was a past SAL Commander of Post #10 in Marion, District 5 SAL Commander, and State SAL Commander. He truly loved being a part of the organization. Ron was an avid Colts and NASCAR fan, and a true lover of 60’s music.
He is survived by a son Eric Sexton of Indianapolis; two daughters, Michelle (Joe) Brinker of Marion and Sherri (Rob) May of Seymour, Indiana; a brother, Dennis (Michelle) Sexton of Van Buren; a sister, Patricia Brown of Marion; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother Robert C. Sexton.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019 at the American Legion Post #10, 1700 S. Pennsylvania Street, Marion, Indiana.
