Ruby M. Angell

Ruby M. Angell, age 88, of Marion, passed away on June 26, 2016 at approximately 5:00 a.m. in Miller's Merry Manor, Marion, Indiana.

Ruby was born on February 22, 1928 in Marion, Indiana to the late Chester and Lucille (Fansler) Frazier. She graduated from Marion High School in 1947 and soon after married Edwin Angell on June 14, 1947, and he preceded her in death on December 20, 1996.

Ruby retired from Foster-Forbes Glass Company in 1974 where she was a very active in the local union, especially as their insurance agent. She then worked at Allen Elementary School as a teacher's aide under Lee Ann Peterson. Lee Ann considers Ruby as her second mother and remains a good friend to the family. Edwin and Ruby Angell were founding member s of Brookhaven Wesleyan Church. She was the organizer of Brookhaven's funeral dinners for many years and volunteered in the nursery.

Ruby enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She and Eddie loved camping and serving their church. Tending her flowers, cooking, and feeding the birds were some of her favorite past times.

She is survived by two sons, Robert (Ruth) Angell and Richard (Mary) Angell, both of Marion; and a brother, Paul (Violet) Frazier of Marion. She leaves behind grandchildren, Keith Angell of Zionsville, Jessica Julian of Wilmington, North Carolina, Andy (Darla) Sugg of Faulkville, Alabama, and Wendy (Chad) Mast of Zionsville. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Loretta B. Frazier and Lillian Kay (Frazier) Frye.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016, at Brookhaven Wesleyan Church, 2960 E. 38th Street, Marion, Indiana with Pastor Joel Gearhart officiating.

Burial will immediately follow memorial services in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana.
