RUSSELL C. RUSS, age 84, of Marion passed away at 8:47 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center, Marion.
He was born in Marion, Indiana on March 19, 1925, the son of the late Sylas and Mary Russ. On October 15, 1947, he married Mary Brunt. She preceded him in death on December 9, 2003.
He was a mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office for 26 years.
He was a member of First Friends Church and the National Association of Letter Carriers. He had a vast collection of books and post cards.
He is survived by one son, Gary Russ (Sheila) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Pastor Jackie Michaelson officiating.
Entombment will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 11 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
