Ruth E. (Clawson) Davenport

Ruth E. Davenport, age 65, of Marion, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014, at Marion General Hospital, Marion, Indiana.
Ruth was born January 27, 1948, in Alma, Michigan, the daughter of Nyle Clawson and the late Barbara (Patterson) Clawson. She married Jack Davenport on March 20, 1998, and he survives.
She worked at General Motors for 30 years until her retirement. Ruth enjoyed bowling, doing crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with her family.
Survivors include: husband, Jack Davenport of Marion, Indiana; father, Nyle Clawson of Marion, Indiana; son, Michael (Michaelle) Hughes of Marion, Indiana; two daughters, Michaele (Joe) Martin of Marion, Indiana, and Rachel (Roger) Howell of Marion, Indiana; step-son, Andrew Jackson Davenport, Jr. of Richmond, Indiana; two sisters, Lucia (Mark) McNaab of Michigan, and Barb (Larry) Brown of Alabama; grandchildren, Tyler Bright, Tavin Staggs, Ryan Riggs, Kara Hughes, Rachel Riggs, Parker Howell and Kaylin Hughes.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Dan Clawson.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
There will be no funeral services. Cremation will follow.
