Ruth Fuller, age 97, went to be with her Lord on June 20, 2019 at York Place retirement home. Ruth was born in Marion to Mayo D. and Henrietta Foland and graduated from Marion High School in 1939. She graduated from Purdue University in 1943 and worked at Wright-Patterson Air Base where she met her first husband, Randall P. Wagaman II. They moved to Sacramento, California where their son, Randall P. Wagaman III was born in 1947. After a divorce, Ruth returned to Marion and worked at several jobs until joining Dana Corporation in approximately 1955. Ruth married John Taylor Fuller in 1972. She retired from Dana in 1980. After retiring, Ruth and John traveled extensively throughout the world and in the winters, they would spend two months golfing in Biloxi, Mississippi. John passed away in 2001.
Ruth had many interests in her lifetime. When living in California she soloed an airplane. In Marion, she bowled league with the Dana girls, enjoyed golf with MELGA as well as with her husband, John. She never passed a garage sale she didn’t like. She was a life-long member of the First United Methodist Church and was active in the Department Club, United Methodist Women, Speeder’s and PEO. She did not like cooking, so dining out was another of her great pleasures.
She is survived by her son, Randall Wagaman (Sue); step-daughter, Kandi Hanish; step-grandchildren, Rey Fuller (Melinda), Loren Fuller (Cheri), Carlena Gutierrez (Art) and Shawn Budlong (Joyce). Also surviving are 12 step great-grandchildren and 5 step great-great grandchildren. John and Ruth spent many summers and holidays entertaining their grandchildren.
