Ruthanna (Beall) Way

Ruthanna (Beall) Way, age 97, of Avon, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015.

Ruthanna was born December 11, 1917, in Banquo, Indiana, the daughter of the late Frank Beall and the late Nellie (Gearhart) Beall. She married William E. Way, and he preceded her in death on January 10, 1996.

Ruthanna was a member of Sweetser United Methodist Church and she was a past member of Eastern Star, Swayzee Chapter 345. She worked at Meshingomesia Boy Scouts Camp Crossland for 5 years. She was a 1935 graduate of Sweetser High School and attended Indiana Business College. Ruthanna was most proud of her four children for them getting their education and graduating from Purdue University, School of Pharmacy.

Survivors include: three sons, William Z. (Karen) Way, of Avon, Indiana, Thomas C. (Cynthia) Way, of Greenfield, Indiana, Jon A. (Doris) Way, of Marion, Indiana; daughter, Rebecca Ann (Wayne) Thompson of Clovis, California; five grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, William E. Way; two sisters, V. Eileen Galbreath, Frances F. Erb; and brother Cecil Beall.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend Mick Wilson officiating.

Burial will be in Maple Grove, Sweetser Indiana.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
