Samantha L. "Sam" Timmons

Samantha L. “Sam” Timmons, 57, of Marion, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Marion Health, Marion, Indiana. Sam was born January 26, 1967, to the late John and Dorothy Williams.  She married Steve Timmons on May 17, 2013.

Sam was a woman full of courage, strength, and love. Her spirit was contagious, her laugh infectious, and love endlessly abundant. She found solace in gardening, cooking, and helping people in need. Her greatest achievement in life was raising her daughters and creating beautiful memories with her grandkids.

She met her husband Steve in 2011 and fell instantly in love. His consistent love and support of her daughters sealed the deal for her, and they were married the next year. They enjoyed golfing together, hanging out with friends and supporting local good causes.

She worked as a nurse and specialized in wound care at Wesleyan Health Care, Marion, where she met and worked with some of her best friends. After the loss of her son-in-law, she found a new calling with the CORE program. There she helped addicts and their families deal with the effects and treatment of addiction.

Her beliefs were the following: Celebrate life. Care for others and share whatever you have with those less fortunate. Broaden your vision, for the whole world belongs to you.

Visitation for friends and family will be Friday, February 2, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W Kem Rd., Marion, IN. A Celebration of Sam’s Life will begin at 6:00 PM with Reverend Darrell Smith officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 10 Ladies Auxiliary, 1700 S Pennsylvania Street, Marion, IN 46953.
