SANDRA L. "SANDY" GROGG, age 67, died at 1:09 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Marion General Hospital, Marion.
Sandy was born December 27, 1941, in Munster, Indiana, the daughter of the late John Francis and Luella Frances (Osborn) Malosh. On September 1, 1961, she married Thomas Grogg. He survives.
She was a 1960 graduate of Hammond High School. She worked as a cashier in the food service department for Marion Community School Systems for 15 years, most recently at Allen School. She was a member of Sunnycrest United Methodist Church where she was active in the Red Hat Society and the Methodist Women's Group. She loved her children, grandchildren, reading her Bible, sewing and cooking. She had formerly attended First Christian Church.
Survivors include husband, Thomas A. Grogg of Marion, Indiana; son, John Grogg (Kelli) of Indianapolis, Indiana; three daughters, Beth Huffman (Curt) of Madison, Wisconsin; Kate Fortney (Tom) of Noblesville, Indiana; and Lucy Grogg (Scott Williams) of Indianapolis, Indiana; and four grandchildren, Emily, Elaina, Sarah & Rachel.
Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2009, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Pastor Charles Ternet officiating.
Friends may call from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, June 29 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
