Scott A. Curtis, born on November 29, 1966, in Marion, Indiana, passed away on February 27, 2025, in his hometown. He was a beloved son, brother, father, and uncle, whose contributions to the community and dedication to his craft will be remembered fondly.
Scott’s career was characterized by his deep commitment to the automotive field. He began his journey as the proud owner of Precision Transmission in Sebring, Florida, after which he was a mechanic at Mercedes Benz of Tampa, where he honed his skills for twenty years. After returning to Marion, he became the proud owner of Curtis and Son Automotive, reflecting his passion for mechanics and service. Additionally, Scott was a certified locksmith at A Locksmith Shop, working alongside his father, which showcased his versatility and dedication to helping others.
Education played an essential role in Scott’s life. He graduated from Marion High School in 1985, continuing his studies at Lincoln Technical Institute in Indianapolis, where he graduated with honors in 1986. His hard work and determination set a strong foundation for his career and personal growth.
A devoted family man, Scott is survived by his father, John Curtis, and mother, Judy Curtis. He leaves behind his son, Tyler Curtis, as well as two nieces, Jennifer Curtis and Sydney Christian, who, along with their families, will cherish his memory.
Scott was also preceded in death by his brother, Robbie Curtis, and his paternal and maternal grandparents, Edward (Evelyn) Curtis and William (Corinne) Staggs.
Throughout his life, Scott found strength and community at Sunnycrest Baptist Church, where he fostered friendships and spiritual connections that enriched his life.
A visitation in honor of Scott A. Curtis will take place on March 4, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, located at 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana, 46952.
Scott's legacy will endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his caring spirit, his unwavering work ethic, and his love for family and friends. His presence will be immensely missed.
