Sherry L. Boogar, age 63, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 in Colonial Oaks Healthcare Center, Marion, Indiana.
She was born on January 16, 1953 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late Joe Stephens and Audrey (Hughes) Stephens. Her mother survives.
Sherry was a hospital administrator at the Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was a member of the Sunnycrest Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Sherry enjoyed spending time with her family and doing cross-stitch.
She is survived by her mother, Audrey Stephens of Marion; a son, Robert (Michelle) Boogar of Marion; and grandchildren, Ethan, Madelynn, Skylar, and Brooklyn Boogar, all of Marion.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Craig Stephens.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Pastor Stephen Houser officiating.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016 in the funeral home prior to funeral services.
Burial will immediately follow funeral services in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grant County Society for Crippled Children & Adults, Inc., 1505 W. Overlook Road, Marion, Indiana 46952.
