VINCENT "VINNIE" OLIVERI, SR., age 67, of Marion, died at 3:32 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010, in his residence.
Vinnie was born on August 7, 1942, in Newark, New Jersey, the son of the late Albert and Lillian (Salvi) Oliveri. He married Barbara Atienza December 13, 1961. She preceded him in death on July 30, 2004.
He was a machine operator for the Clark New Jersey General Motors plant after which he became self-employed. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Eagles Lodge. He also volunteered in the kitchen at the St. Martin DePorres Center and was a dedicated Yankees fan.
Survivors include, son, Vincent Oliveri, Jr. (Angela) of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughter, Barbara Oliveri of Marion, Indiana; two brothers, Robert Oliveri of Hudson, Florida, and Anthony Oliveri (Lorraine) of Toms River, New Jersey; three sisters, Phyllis Managno of Brooksville, Florida, Mary Jane Oliveri of Kearny, New Jersey, and Louise Notoranni of Easton, Pennsylvania; and 5 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Albert Oliveri; two brothers, Albert & Phillip Oliveri; and three sisters, Terry Lupo, Lillian West & Roseann Sacatti.
There will be no visitation or funeral services.
