STANLEY P. SMITH, age 72, died on Saturday, May 8, 2010 in his home in Marion.
STANLEY was born on August 21, 1937, in Washington D.C., the son of the late Robert and Marguerite ( Page) Smith. On July 3, 1997, He married Lynette Kannard who survives.
He was a Salesman for various office equipment companies and served in the United States Army, with the 101st Airborne Division.
He loved his wife dearly, was an avid golfer, a sports enthusiast, and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include, wife, Lynette Smith of Marion, Indiana; son, Craig Smith (Penny) of Witchita, Kansas; son, Cory Smith (Bethie) of Port Orange, Florida; daughter, Cindy Hauser (Gene) of Bonivay, Florida; daughter, Chris Nagengast of Port Orange, Florida; sister, Sandi Simon (Dave) of Witchita, Kansas; grandchildren: Christy Ganley, Nathan Hauser, Andrew Hauser, Sarah Smith, Hannah Smith, Rachel Smith, Rebecca Smith, Taylor Smith & Luke Smith.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Pastor Gene Hauser officiating.
There will be no visitation.
