Susan Kay (Miller) Dobbs

Susan Kay Dobbs, age 70, of Marion, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015, in her residence surrounded by family.
Susan was born on June 11, 1945, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late Charles R. Miller and Ellen (Cooper) Jeffson. She married Clarence Allen Dobbs on March 25, 1974 and he survives.
Susan worked for General Tire for 33 1/2 years before her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and reading, and loved attending concerts with her husband. She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma and best friend.
Survivors include: three daughters, Stephanie (Lance) Garcia of Marion, Indiana, Channa Turrin of Marion, Indiana, and Christie (Daniel Leon Riddle) Owens of Marion Indiana; eight grandchildren, Jarren Olsen, Brittnee Olsen, Kaycee Williams, Tayler Williams, Darrian Turrin, Dionna Turrin, Charla Byer, and Jayden Owens; and 11 great-grandchildren, Kipton, Alleyah, Jazmyn, Monica, Cruz, Layla, Nuno, Aylen, Dylan, Dylasia, Deyjah.
She was preceded in death by her mother, her dad, brother, Michael Miller, grandson, Trystan, and aunt Chene.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Pastor Sia Mbayo officiating.
Burial will immediately follow funeral services in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2015 in the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Bendaly and the nurses at the Cancer Center, and also Lorrie, Donna, Rebecca and Kelly from Hospice Family Life Care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in care of the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
