Teresa M. Thompson, age 94, formerly of Marion, passed away Easter Sunday at Berkshire Assisted Living Facility in Indianapolis where she has been a resident the past six years.
Born, March 10, 1918, in Paulding, Ohio to the late Frank and Anna (Hopt) Morisy.
Teresa lived in Marion from 1947 to 2006 before moving to Indianapolis. She was a Registered Nurse and graduated from St. Joseph Hospital of Nursing in South Bend, IN. She was also a member of the RN Club. She retired from Dana Corporation in Marion.
Teresa was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Marion and the Rosary Society. While living in Indianapolis, she received weekly Communion from the Eucharistic ministers at St. Pius X.
Survivors include one brother, James Morisy (Isabel) of Paulding, OH, sisters, Rita Thompson of Delaware, OH, Rose Guinon of Silver Springs, MD, Alta (Don) Ebel of Las Vegas, NV, Margaret Ditto of Delphos ,OH and Phyllis (Gordon) Porter, Hicksville, NY. There were many nieces and nephews including Judy Cassidy of Fishers, IN.
Teresa was preceded in death by her husband Harold Thompson in 2002. The couple was married for 55 years.
Viewing will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, IN.
Father Richard Weisenberger will officiate a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012, in the St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 Kem Road, Marion, IN. Burial will follow in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery in Marion, IN.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 Kem Road, 46952.
