Virginia L. Hill, age 94, of Marion, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center, Marion, Indiana.
Virginia was born on December 7, 1917, in Wabash County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Floyd and Clara (Flook) Futrell. She married Jerome Hill, and he preceded her in death on June 26, 2007.
She was secretary/treasurer of T & J Plating Corporation until her retirement. She was a member of Christland United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She was very active in the church and also volunteered at the Christland Church Mission Store. Virginia loved her grandchildren, was an avid reader, and enjoyed crocheting and traveling with the Bank One group.
Survivors include: son, Terry (Jean) Hill of Converse, Indiana; daughter, Janice (Gene) Stevens of Sun City Center, Florida; grandchildren, Gregory (Victoria) Stevens of Livonia, Michigan, Cheryl (Tim) Sugar of Valrico, Florida, Sandra (Brad) Shouse of Sweetser, Indiana and Holly (Ryan) Downam of Kokomo, Indiana; and great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Matthew, Rachel, Debra, Ryan, Paige, Grant & Laci.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Pastor Russ Smith officiating.
Entombment will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
