Virginia L. Thompson, age 95, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 in her home.
Virginia was born June 20, 1923 in Sweetser, Indiana the daughter of the late Fred and Lula Mae (Stevens) Thompson. She was the Collections Accountant at the Chronicle Tribune for 18 years. Virginia loved traveling to the Great Smokey Mountains and to Branson, Missouri. She enjoyed going to the shows and seeing the stars of yesteryear. She was a great aunt and a better friend!
She is survived by a brother, John (Shelby) Thompson of Swayzee; nephews, Dennis Thompson of Converse and Steven (Corenne) Thompson of Macy; nieces, Debby (Ken) Waller and Tammy (Bill) Johnson, both of Converse; great-niece, Tonya (Roger) Dyson of Warren; and many other great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews; and her special friend Jess Marley of Marion, Indiana.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral Services will begin at noon.
Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Sweetser, Indiana immediately following funeral services.
