Wanda D. Christenson

Wanda D. Christenson, age 68, passed away at 3:20 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2011, at her home in Marion.

Wanda was born on October 15, 1942, in Sherburn, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Archie Porter and Iona (Donaldson) Harmon.

Wanda graduated from Marion High School in 1960 and attended Marion College, graduating in 1964 with a A.B. in English and Education. She performed her graduate work in English and Adult/Community OIC at Ball State Unversity and graduate work in English at Valparaiso Unversity. She recieved a Masters in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1994.

She was an English Teacher ast Dyer Central High School, Dyer IN; Lead instructor for Marion Community OIC; Blackford County Coordinator; Delaware-Blackford Job Training Partnership Agency; Vice President of Education; Marion Grant County Chamber of Commerce and a English/Journalism teacher at Marion High School.

Survivors include Daughter, Danielle Christenson of Marion, IN, Daughter, Andrea (Erich) Reitcher of Spokane, WA, Sister, Nita (Tom Redick) Bressler of Tucson, AZ, Grandchildren, Jade Faircloth of Marion, IN, Ryan Golden of Fort Wayne, IN, Jordan Chiddister of Fort Wayne, IN, and Hannah Richter of Spokane, WA, and Nephew, Eric Bressler of Tucson, AZ.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly (Curtis) Hall in September 1998.

There will be no visitation or services. Entombment will be at Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.

Arrrangements are being handled by Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
