Zella Jackson, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Copper Trace, Westfield, Indiana.
Zella was born May 20, 1933 in Miracle, Kentucky to the late James and Katie (Miracle) Cheek. She married John Jackson and he preceded her in death in March 2013. She was an office manager at Hanks Supermarket for more than 20 years and was a realtor for Century 21 for 10 years.
Zella was a very giving woman and loved Sunday dinners. She always made lots more food than necessary, and always watched over everyone and made sure everyone was taken care of.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet (Craig Sponburgh) Marks of The Villages, Florida, and Sandra (James) McCracken of Ft. Wayne; son-in-law, Jim Trout of Marion; brother, Tony Cheek of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; sister, Delores Pence of Marion; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Trout; sisters, Ruby Kellam and Bernice Wilder and brothers, Harold Cheek and Coy Cheek.
Friends and family may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Mark Hummel officiating.
Burial will follow in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
